2G Scam case Verdict: All Accused Including A Raja, Kanimozhi Acquitted By CBI Court

Former telecom minister A Raja, DMK leader Kanimozhi and all other accused were today acquitted in 2G spectrum allocation scam cases by a special court in Delhi. CBI had alleged that 122 licences bundled with startup spectrum were sold in 2008 at prices determined in 2001. The Comptroller and Auditor General had estimated the loss to the exchequer at Rs 1.76 lakh crore. 2G scam case rocked the telecom industry in 2011 and tainted the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government and was key to the previous government's defeat three years later.
