Presidential Election 2017

NEW DELHI, INDIA - JULY 17: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi waves his hand after casting his vote in the Presidential Election, at the parliament house on July 17, 2017 in New Delhi, India. Record approx 99 percent voting was recorded for electing India’s next president. The counting of votes will take place on 20 July. The numbers are stacked in favour of the ruling coalition’s nominee Ram Nath Kovind, a former Bihar governor, over the opposition’s candidate and former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar. Lawmakers were voting Monday to choose India's next president in an election likely to be won by a little-known member of a Hindu political group that is closely allied to India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.
