Delhi MCD Election 2017 Results: BJP Sweeps All Three Corporations

NEW DELHI, INDIA - APRIL 26: Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari during the press conference at Delhi BJP Office after party victory in MCD elections on April 26, 2017 in New Delhi, India. Its a third term straight for the BJP, which has won 64 of 104 wards in MCD North, 70 of 104 in MCD South and 48 of 64 in MCD East, well over the halfway mark in all three. In each, it has bettered last time's performance. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came a distant second with just 46 seats in all the three Delhi municipal corporations, while the Congress could just manage to win 30 seats and others got 10 seats. The MCD was split into three corporations in 2012. (Photo by Raj K Raj/Hindustan Times )
