Tamil Nadu Farmers Wear Saree During Protests In Jantar Mantar

NEW DELHI, INDIA - APRIL 14: Tamil Nadu farmers wearing sari during a protest for demanding drought compensation package on April 14, 2017 in New Delhi, India. Farmers from Tamil Nadu have been protesting for 32 days in the national capital. They've staged nude protests, eaten off the road without plates, and today, some of them wore sarees. They hope that this protest just might catch attention of PM Narendra Modi as it highlights the plight of women. They said they will continue their agitation until their loans from nationalized banks are written off, and until a drought relief package is announced by the Centre, they will continue with their agitation.(Photo by Ravi Choudhary/Hindustan Times
