NEW DELHI, INDIA - MARCH 30 Regal Theatre, the 85-year-old iconic cinema in the heart of Delhi, will shut its doors to moviegoers on Thursday, only to return as a multiplex, on March 30, 2017 in New Delhi, India. A monument to the citys cinematic history, its social and culture life, the Connaught Place theatre is screening Raj Kapoors Mera Naam Joker and Sangam on its last day. The theatre, built in 1932, holds a special charm for movie lovers, who see it as a place where erstwhile superstars Raj Kapoor and Nargis used to attend film premieres.
